Event Promotion spending has surpassed pre-pandemic levels. While the absolute number of community events taking place is rapidly increasing, the total has not yet returned to 2019 levels. However, the average promotion spending per event has increased significantly, such that overall promotion spending is on par with or higher than 2019 in most markets. In 2021, promotion spending per event was 152%, 164% and 217% of promotion spending per event in September, October, and November of 2019, respectively.
Event organizers are allocating budget to get the word out about their events and to break through the noise, and with fewer events to spend it on, the spend per event has increased significantly over 2019.
So, while we still catching up with 2019 in some ways, event promotion spending is flowing. Now is a great time to consider a community event platform on your site.
